We recently lost a gymnastics icon.
Kurt Thomas passed away June 5th as a result of an aneurism. He was 63yrs old , a world champion, and the leading member of the 1980 Olympic gymnastics team. The one that didn’t get to go to Moscow.
I was fortunate enough to train with him in 1980-81 while he was an assistant coach at Arizona State University. I also rented a house from him! He was a down to earth superstar gymnast.
My condolences go out to his family, other friends, and staff at Kurt Thomas Gymnastics.
